I am passionate about discovering the different ways to express myself creatively from visual projects to acting and collaborating with others. Decolonizing is a central value in all of the work I do. My mission is to reclaim the narrative so that I am living and speaking in my authentic voice.

MY ARTISTIC MISSION:

DECOLONIZING ARTISTIC EXPRESSION & creativity through RETURNING & TENDING to MY ROOTS & ancestral lineage

Decolonizing expression means challenging and undoing the cultural, social, and political norms and values that have been imposed by colonialism and imperialism, and creating space for diverse and marginalized voices and perspectives to be heard and represented in creative expression. It involves dismantling the power structures that have historically privileged certain forms of artistic expression over others and reclaiming cultural practices and traditions that have been erased or suppressed by colonialism.
